Site Coordinator

Humanitarian Aid and Community Development Organization (HACDO) is dedicated to providing vital aid and promoting sustainable development in Afghanistan. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position of District Coordinator.

Job Summary:

The District Coordinator will report directly to the WDIO CBE Senior Education Officer and the Sr. Admin and Finance Officer for operational matters. The role will focus on overseeing all CBE-related activities at the district level and ensuring the smooth implementation of projects in coordination with stakeholders and target groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage district-level project implementation and staff (Field Monitor and Teacher Trainer).
  • Ensure collaboration with community members, local authorities, and other partners.
  • Monitor district staff and oversee project activities through field visits.
  • Ensure proper registration of CBCs with hub schools or DED.
  • Coordinate meetings between community members, government agencies, and other organizations.
  • Evaluate security situations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate and updated records of district activities.
  • Assist in the selection of target groups and oversee data collection.
  • Promote the inclusion of females and people with disabilities in training and project activities.
  • Provide technical input during training sessions and support Teacher Trainers.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within national or international NGOs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Science, or a related field.
  • Fluent in Pashto and Dari (reading, writing, and verbal skills), and proficient in English.
  • Must have own transportation (motorbike) and smartphone for project purposes.
  • Strong teamwork, capacity development, and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the province and work in rural settings.
  • Must uphold HACDO’s safeguarding policies and code of conduct.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

All staff must read and adhere to HACDO’s safeguarding policies, including the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and anti-harassment policies. Staff must ensure that these policies are effectively implemented within their areas of responsibility.
